General MIDI Player allows you to adjust the reverb amount using a basic dial and provides a Panic button that stops all sounds in case a certain note will not stop playing. The app provides a Instrument drop down panel and you can choose the one you want to play: piano, harpsichord, celesta, glockenspiel, music box, marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, tubular bells, dulcimer, accordion, harmonica, guitar, bass, viola, cello, violin, trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn, flute, whistle, banjo and much more. For your convenience, General MIDI Player will also display the keys on the virtual keyboard. Noteworthy is that in QWERTY mode you have the option to shift the mapped keys up or down an octave by using the arrow indicators placed in the Input panel.

You are able to play the instruments using your keyboard, your mouse or a MIDI device (General MIDI Player is able to deal with both software and hardware MIDI devices). General MIDI Player comes with a small and very intuitive user interface where you can select the input / output devices and the instrument you want to play.

Take into account that General MIDI Player is designed to help you play instruments and will not open MIDI files. General MIDI Player enables you to play a wide collection of MIDI instruments from your Mac due to the built in General MIDI support.
